Krugersdorp Golf Club is proud to tee off 2025 with a vibrant new committee lineup! Announced at our recent AGM, this year’s team brings together trusted experience and exciting new energy — all committed to making 2025 a standout year for golf, friendship, and fun at KGC.
This passionate team is here to support every member and enhance your KGC experience — on and off the course. Be sure to say hello, get to know them, and share your ideas. Here’s to a year of great drives, good laughs, and memorable moments together!
Ian Scott - President
“I have been a Member of the Krugersdorp Golf Club in excess of 35 years now. Growing up I spent most of my free time at the club practicing and playing. I played provincial golf at every level except becoming a springbok in my early 20’s and played scratch league for the club for many years thereafter. Today I play Mid Am and Handicap league which I enjoy tremendously. I have a Daughter that is now in her second year varsity studying in the financial field. I have been employed for Hitachi Construction Machinery Southern Africa for the last 18 years as a Key Account Manager, a job that I truly enjoy. When I am not playing golf I enjoy relaxing listening to music and all types of Motor racing.
My vision for the Golf Club is to make positive changes and improvements. To listen to the members be it compliments or concerns and to act on them. To keep the Club profitable so that others after me can enjoy the environment I had growing up and still enjoy today. Strive to get the Golf course into the top 50 in South Africa”
Grant Syme - Captain
For those who don’t know me, my name is Grant Declan Syme and I have been a member of Krugersdorp Golf Club for the last 23 years. This club is where I learnt to play golf and learnt many lifelong lessons, throughout the years this club has become my home away from home. I currently work as a customer service manager for a company called Acorn Products which manufactures and sells, Tabard Mosquito repellents amongst other household products.
I have been married to my beautiful wife Juanita for 8 years and together we have two boys – Quaden and Carson who are 13 and 8 respectively. Other than eating me out of house and home, the boys have developed a liking for the game and I’m confident that the bug will bite them soon. I have been married to my wife Juanita for 8 years but have always been married to the game.
When I’m not playing golf, my other interests include fishing and hunting from time to time and of course, thinking of my next tee off time. Myself and the family love spending time outdoors, whether it be at a water park or somewhere nice for lunch.
I have served on committees and sub committees for over 6 years and have been mentored by the great committee members and committee alumni. I look forward to making Krugersdorp the best overall golfing and social experience for all those who choose to spend time at our beautiful club.
Solly Bellingan - Marketing
Married to Hanneke. Two children, Zandre and Hanmari.
Head of Marketing at BankservAfrica, SA’s payment clearing house.
When I don’t golf, I love spending time doing off-grid camping, birding and some overlanding.
My vision for the club is that the “best overall experience” is truly that - BEST! From entry at the boom to the service from staff and management. I would love my great grand children to still have an awesome club there for them in years to come.
Mattheus Maritz - Finance
Married to my lovely wife Lynda. We have two kids Lyne 29 and Ruan 27, now living in China. I am a CA by trade heading up the Finance devision for a Pharmaceutical company which is part of a Multi National. My other passions when I don't play golf is fishing and I love fast cars.
My vision for KDGC is to ensure the club is sustainable and we can offer the best golfing experience to all members and visitors.
Conroy King - Committee
Married to Melani with two children; Cailyn and Ayden.
Small business owner supplying products and services into the meat and food processing industry.
Aside from golf I play some Padel and enjoy the odd hike
My vision for Krugersdorp Golf Club is that we continously evolve to not only meet the the needs of current members, but in do doing we also attract new members. As much as we offer the best overall experience, we need to become the golfing destination in the West Rand.
Rudolph Potgieter - Committee
Im married with two children, Arabella (4) and Hudson(1). My day job is an attorney. When i dont play golf i love spending time with my family, i collect motorcycles and enjoy taking them to the racetrack.
My vision for Krugersdorp Golf Club is a place for friends and family to get together, not just golfers. A place where the members are valued and enjoy top priority.
Jacques Beket - Committee
I am Jacques Beket, born and raised a Freestate boytjie. I am married to Madel Beket, with Daniel (7) and Annika (4), who are our bundles of joy. I am very passionate about my day job, as I am an Independent Financial Adviser by qualification and occupation. I like to play as much as my wife allows me to, but I don’t enjoy the golf in the rain. I enjoy running (when I get a chance), but mainly to spend time with my kids outdoors.
My vision for our club is to be a club where we have an experience for the whole family to come and spend time, young and old learn the game of golf and build the passion to those interested, with plenty of sponsors who want to contribute and spend their time with us.
Michelle Edwards - President
Been a member since 2000, served on the committee in 2005/6 & again since 2018 - Divorced but Married the same guy twice (apparently I'm a slow learner and believe in 2nd chances 😁), 2 children, my daughter Kelly & my son Kyle. I have 4 grandchildren, Morgan (19), Kelnè (16), Connor (6) & Aiden (3).
I am Finance Manager at Latham Filtration Technology.
Other passions/pleasures could get x-rated, so you'd have to buckle up for that one! Spending time with family is always a pleasure,motorbike riding and running the Tee Totallers group on a Sunday with my brother, Greg. The group is 10 years old this year. Mom will be 83 in October and still plays golf ⛳️ Dad (Eddie Douglas), was the green keeper for more than 20 years , uncle (Bruce Franklin), was GM for many years, so come from a golf orientated family. Always said I'd never be mad enough to chase a little white ball around and frustrate myself hence, I've never played with a white golf ball
It would be great if the club could become more family orientated in the future !
Cornelia Swanepoel - Captain
I’ve been a proud member of Krugersdorp Golf Club since October 2020 and am currently serving on the Ladies Committee for the fourth consecutive year.
Before joining Krugersdorp, I was a member of Randfontein Golf and Country Club until its closure in March 2019. During my time there, I served on the Ladies Committee for many years and had the privilege of being Lady Captain.
I also served as Club Secretary on the main committee.
I’m a widow and the proud mother of two sons and a daughter, with two wonderful daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and eight beautiful grandchildren—what a blessing they are!
My vision for Krugersdorp Golf Club is to help it grow as a friendly, inclusive, and vibrant club where members feel at home.
Belinda Mans - Vice Captain
“I am married to Flippie Mans, the owner of Litecom Projects.
We have one daughter, Elzet, whom some of you might know recently got married to the wonderful Darin De Smidt from Billies Van Die Bosveld at the course.
I work as a Bookkeeper/Slave when I’m not playing golf. I am the reigning Krugersdorp Ladies Club Champion for the past three consecutive years.
My passion is to make people laugh and always see the brighter side of things. Life is too hard to take everything serious. My greatest pleasure in life would be to win the Lotto and move to Italy. My vision for Krugersdorp Golf Club is to improve the ladies section of the club and to make golf fun again.

Ilse van Zyl - Treasurer
Hi, i'm ilse van zyl, the ladies section treasurer. I'm married to Johan, our son Rico finished high school last year and our daughter Tenicke started high school this year. I'm an Oracle programmer at a medical scheme administrator. IT doesn't keep office hours so having a life outside the office can be tricky... but it pays for my daughter's horse riding so i don't complain too often.
My hobbies include running, learning guitar and sewing for charity projects. My biggest passion in life is our yearly trip to Mozambique where we go do upliftment projects for the rural communities. Our Land Rover breaks down every year so we have tons of memories to laugh about!
My vision for KGC would be to get more young ladies involved in the game, and for anyone entering our club to really feel welcome and enjoy every minute they spend here, even if there are more bogeys than birdies!
Nerine Adams - Secretary
Nerine is a dedicated mother of two wonderful children and brings a wealth of experience and passion to everything she does. With a strong background in accounting, she is currently a Hospital Manager for Life Healthcare, where she has built a distinguished 23-year career. Nerine is widely respected for her sharp business acumen, approachable leadership style, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Outside of her professional life, Nerine enjoys cooking for her family, relaxing with music, and unwinding with a glass of wine while watching a beautiful sunset. She values quality time with her close-knit group of friends and believes in the importance of balancing work and life.
Nerine's vision for KGC would be to see an increase in the number of lady members who can enjoy all the amenities that the club has to offer.
Cindy de Smidt - Committee
I spend my days either helping Darin (wife Elzet) at Billies van die Bosveld and Deli selling his awesome biltong and other delicious products or caddying for Ruan (wife Relandi) in the Sunshine Tour tournaments and I also spend lots of time reading or listening to books. What a life, right? 😉
I would love to see more of the younger generation get more involved with the club and get new fresh input that they can carry forward to keep the club being “The Best Overall Experience”
Charmaine Cornelissen - Committee
My aim is to make Krugersdorp Golf Club a welcoming & friendly place for everyone in our community to enjoy the game, events & atmosphere at our wonderful Club.
