Dear Members,

The festive season has arrived – Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey are back in full voice! The past couple of months have been truly memorable, and I’d like to highlight a few of the highlights:

• Our Springboks have given us some incredible games, reminding us all what South African grit and determination look like when we pull together as one.

• The President’s Prize 36-hole tournament lived up to its prestigious reputation once again. Well done to everyone who took part and huge congratulations to our winners!

• We proudly hosted the Betway Big Easy Tournament, which was a resounding success. Our visitors thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of our club and the beauty of our course.

• The annual Chicken Challenge Cup was played in fantastic spirit. What a weekend! This year the Chickens came out firing on all cylinders and deservedly lifted the trophy. Well done, Chickens – we won’t hear the end of it for the next twelve months, but it’s richly deserved!

• Our final Captain’s Draw of the year was brilliantly entertained by Monique West. The ladies enjoyed their lucky draw for a wheelbarrow packed with goodies (won on the night), and I’d like to sincerely thank the Ladies Section for their unwavering support of the Captain’s Draw throughout the year.

• The Joker was not won, so it will roll over and start at R26,820 in January, with the Captain’s Draw resetting to R10,000.

• We also auctioned off a prime tee time and parking space on the evening – thank you to everyone who contributed so generously.
  

A massive thank you to all our staff and committee members for your hard work, dedication and passion throughout the year. You are the heartbeat of this club, and none of what we achieve would be possible without you.

To every member, staff member and the management team: if I don’t see you before the holidays, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous 2026. To those that don’t celebrate, I wish you happy and safe holidays.
